Bio Shetland is a GOTS-certified wool for those who love to knit colourwork while having a large palette to choose from. Whilst our Bio Shetland is not from the Shetland Islands itself, it is a certified organic wool yarn that is as close to proper Shetland wool you can find. As of today, there aren't any GOTS-certified farms on the Shetland Isles.

Our Bio Shetland looks and feels exactly like real Shetland wool. With more than 70 colors to choose from, it is perfect for any Fair Isle project.

This yarn is woollen spun and blooms beautifully, therefore it can be worked on a large range of needle sizes.

The raw wool for Bio Shetland comes from mulesing-free farms in South America and is spun and dyed for us in Turkey.

We have washed garments made from Bio Shetland in the washing machine and they have turned out really well. However, we always suggest that you test wash your swatch before putting a finished garment in your machine, just to make certain that your machine works properly on a cold, delicate cycle.

GOTS- certified organic, certified by BCS 25956.
